Detox diets, detox drinks, detox footbaths, and detox patches, to name a few. Detoxifiers can be found in an assortment of foods and supplements, and a good vitamin diet can help as well.

Detoxification is the act of cleansing your body of all foreign substances. This does not only apply to drug abusers, but they commonly have more toxic substances littered throughout there body. A good detox program will take 6-8 weeks to see full benefits, and should be continued if needed. Going through detox generally entails changing your eating habits drastically, taking an array of vitamins and or supplements, and drinking lots of good ol' H2O (water). It’s important to be dedicated to your detox diet in order to see maximum benefits.

One of the first steps to over coming any addiction is to detoxify the body of the addictive substance. Whether its heroin, crack, or meth, detoxification of the liver is essential to addiction recovery. There are several methods to bring the chemicals out of your body. One is sauna or sweat therapy.

Many chemicals have been found in our sweat. Chemicals are excreted through many routes, including feces, urine, sweat, sebum, and lung vapor. Excessive sweating helps the mobilization of chemicals. Since vitamins can be traced in our sweat as well, it is important to combine therapies such as sauna therapy with a good vitamin and supplement diet. This is to ensure any vitamin deficiencies will be corrected to there recommend intakes. The vitamin Niacin can also be helpful when mobilizing fatty acids, which, in turn, help release harmful chemicals. And finally, exercise combined with sauna therapy and vitamin intake, will complete an effective body detox therapy. Addiction can be overcome, with enough will power and dedication you can make your drug addiction history.

Detox therapy is only one step on the road to complete recovery. There are many other hurdles to jump, and problems to overcome.
