You are going to have to be a real blockhead to go through alcohol rehab and come out the same. Those guys know all there is to know about alcoholism and drug use. They know all the tricks in the book, and unless you invent a new one, you can't get past them. By the time your spell is over, you'd never want to drink another sip. Harsh as the conditions may be, alcohol treatment centers are really a positive addition to the American scenery. At least people with drinking issues can find others to relate with as they find cure. You can be cured from alcoholism and drunkenness but you really need to be serious or else it might not work. If you are serious enough, check yourself into the treatment center nearest to you and adhere to their special lifestyle and rules. You could be out within weeks, changed. It customary to have all your belonging taken from you at a rehab center. You get them back on your way out, but while you're in there, you mostly just get a uniform. Nasty. There are lots of associations that operate jointly in the United States to solve problems relating drunkenness, or at least address them. They make reasonable headway but much of their findings would be just talk without the practical assistance offered drunkards by alcohol treatment centers. Findings show that ten years down the line, after quitting the bottle, you could still relapse. It is either that, or you would have totally shunned the drinking habit completely. There simply is no way to sit on the fence. Not all ex-alcohol addicts succeed in their quests to stay sober. Many times after alcohol treatment, they stay clean for several years and then inevitably relapse. The best trick would be to revisit rehab as often as you can so that you can refresh your resolve from time to time. There are a lot of policies in the American legal and governmental system today that guide much of what is practicable and acceptable in alcohol treatment centers all across the nation. These steps are taken because alcoholism is indeed viewed not just as a disease, but as a condition that impacts society as a whole.
