The Evolution Of RC Toys

By: Peter Gitundu

Tarantula- With the help of four AAA batteries, this arachnid is able to scurry across the floor and in any direction imaginable. Each of the eight legs can move independently and the furry outer texture adds to these realistic mannerisms.

All of this movement, as well as the light-up capabilities of the arachnid's eyes, are made possible by a remote control shaped like a spider egg. The 6 inch span of this spider makes it all that much more impressive to onlookers.

Forklift- This 8 inch vehicle comes not only with a crate for practicing lifting up and down, but also a mini-pallet to place other small objects on. There is a set of miniature cones that are perfect for creating an obstacle course with. As for movement, it is able to move in all the basic directions that an authentic forklift can.

The scorpion and remote control each need two AAA batteries to work. Forwards, backwards, and 360 degree movement of this creature is possible by hidden wheels. The legs and tail can also be made to twitch.

Forklift- Even though the noises have to be created by the person controlling this forklift, all the movements are completely realistic. This 8 inch vehicle is able to move forward, backwards, side to side, and raise the mini crate that comes with it up and down. There is also a pallet and miniature cones that come with this pint-sized toy. The anti-tipping feature on this forklift keeps it from knocking itself over as it lifts the crate and other small objects that are placed on the pallet.

Snake- With realistic movement and even a natural light green color to its body, this snake seems like the real thing. So many RC toys are designed in patterns and colors that make them more intriguing to children, thus taking a way some of the realistic qualities.

Forklift-This 8 inch mini forklift is the perfect size for moving things about the desk at work. It is perfect for a bit of down-time during a stressful day. Complete with a crate, pallet, and even some mini cones. Just as with a full-sized forklift, this remote controlled vehicle is able to move in all directions. The arm will lift and lower the pallet and crate combo, plus it comes complete with an anti-tipping mechanism. Although realistic in appearance, the noises will have to be provided by the controller himself.
